The horn genetics of this heifer are superior (no pun intended...) both top and bottom, and her dam Melmc 507 is a grand producer of both bulls and heifers.  In this case, Melon Ball is sired by Sand Hills Ranch's K&B Jasper, and R3 Santana son who has worked wonders with the already great Butler herd at that ranch.  Sadly, Melmc 507 died last year, but to her credit she gave me a near carbon copy of herself with even more production possibilities in this fine heifer.  Melon Ball is bred to our Hunts Command Respect son out of Torch, JBR Chrome for a terrific blended pedigree on her first calf.
